Time for a Chief Ethics Officer?

Chances are you've got a lot of ethics programs in place: Training, signed codes of conduct and reporting systems among other things. But for some pros the key issue is creating an ethical culture, and that's not easy. One idea is to set up a chief ethics officer, who reports directly to the chief executive. The job would require acting as the glue that holds all those programs together and creates the kind of culture that too many companies have lacked. Of course this would require a dynamic individual.
