Sarbox whistleblowers to fare better?

Will whistleblowers seeking some sort of relief under Sarbanes-Oxley fare any better now? We've noted that so far they've been treated roughly. OSHA has ruled for whistleblowers just 17 times out of more than 1,200 complaints. Hundreds more have been dismissed. The reason: OSHA believes that employees of subsidiaries are not covered.

This has long been considered a bit odd. But with President Obama now in office, we may see a change. Two senators have already written to OSHA noting their disappointment with the agency's narrow interpretation. Perhaps we'll see more would-be whistleblowers willing to test the waters. A former Wells Fargo worker is seeking reinstatement under Sarbox. We'll see how he fares.
