More execs and directors attend Director's College
Director's College is an annual conference, started in 1994, that seeks to promote best practices in corporate governance. The two-day event, which just ended, has flourished in Sarbox era, thanks partly to its star-studded lineup of speakers. Attendance has grown from 50 to start to 378, necessitating extra port-a-potties this year. Speakers this year included Christopher Cox of the SEC, Meg Whitman, CEO of eBay, and the chiefs of the Nasdaq and the Big Board. The cost of attendance is $5,900. Many find it well worth the cost.
