How to manage high risk network users

Let's face it, there are always going to be those people with a whole lot of knowledge about how your corporate network runs. Some may revel in their knowledge. Some may think that they alone hold the secret sauce that keeps the network up and running. Such people are scary and I trust you are not one of them. You need to mitigate the risks of such "knowledge." But how? Well there are some obvious principles; of course, you want to segregate duties in a logical fashion.

But Network World notes you may have to do more. Some companies are coming up with specific solutions tailored to their networks, which can complement generic best practices. Somehow you've got to manage and audit the activity of "high-risk" users, which might include yourself. We're starting to see some vendor activity in this area.
