Financial turbulence, the new Sarbanes-Oxley?

A few years ago, the need for compliance expertise powered a surge in hiring financial managers. The big driver these days seems to be the financial crisis taking hold at so many companies. More employers are seeking executives with banking and treasury experience who are familiar with credit and liquidity issues, reports Financial Week. Treasury departments certainly face a buyers market. The armies of laid-off Wall Street analysts and bankers are considered a good fit, but many will not be able to find work in the financial services industry. A treasury unit may prove to be the next best thing. Not all financial companies will be hiring, however.
