Audit of Deloitte results in restatement--again

This has got be frustrating: A client of Deloitte & Touche, Alliance Imaging, has been forced to restate income for 3 years. The reason: An accounting flaw by the audit firm. This marks the second time a client of Deloitte has been forced to restate because the PCAOB found mistakes. The mistake dealt with arcane issues related to interest swaps, but you've got to wonder if we're going to be in for more of this. And what would happen if the review uncovered some Sarbanes-Oxley related flaws along the way. It seems that the client company is at heightened risk here. In these litigious times, restatements are often fodder for shareholder suits. So these are "mistakes" that cannot be taken lightly. I'd like to see some more analysis of this issue; post a comment with your thoughts.
