Where are they now? The whistleblowers edition

Whistleblowers have become a hot button issue, especially with recent developments in the JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) lawsuit filed by the firm's former vice president. Ex-VP Jennifer Sharkey claimed whistleblower status under Sarbanes-Oxley (Sarbanes-Oxley news), but the firm disagrees and has asked the judge to throw out the case. The final ruling is still in the works.

While financial reform legislation is being finalized, the future for whistleblowers (whistleblowers news) remains uncertain. It is still to be decided what whistleblower provisions will be included in the Restoring American Financial Stability Act of 2010, the joint reform bill expected from Congress July 5.
