In the crowded GRC market, you've got to stand out. BWise is attempting to do just that with a new website that includes lots of marketing information but also a new Flash application that estimates costs and potential savings of a GRC program. You enter the number of people working on GRC issues, the percentage of their time spent on such issues, and an estimate of the percentage savings you think you could achieve via streamlining. The app returns a bar chart with estimated internal and external cost savings.
This is a bit light of course; it's basically a teaser. But the company does make a more extensive calculator available--one with more than 30 parameters--available on request. This gets at a crucial issue: The ROI on GRC software. It's fair to say the world is still a bit fuzzy on the benefits, and to sell it at a high level, you may need these numbers. I'd be interested in the ROI on the calculator and new website.
