Boeing's whistleblower woes continue. Recall that it was the subject of a massive series in the Seattle P-I that documented its internal compliance problems. The latest: In a suit filed in a federal court, former Boeing internal auditor Matthew Neumann accuses the company of ignoring his warnings about various violations of auditing standards, harassing auditors, fabricating results and other stuff. Neumann, who was on the company's Sarbanes-Oxley compliance team, worked at Boeing for a decade before he was fired in late 2007. He's the second whistleblower to emerge alleging problems with the company's compliance efforts. Sarbox whistleblowers have not fared well with OSHA. We'll see how all this turns out. Meanwhile, Wells Fargo has been ordered to reinstate [1] and pay a whistleblower.
